Homemade nucao spread: Make your own chocolate spread
Oh spread, oh spread, how sweet is your aroma?
You don't just taste good at breakfast time, no, it's also so far in the evening.
Oh spread, oh spread, when can we snack on you?
Why our chocolate spread is the better alternative
A particularly delicious recipe is waiting for you today: homemade nucao spread! Brotzeit means something different for everyone and the tastes range from sweet to savory. Avocado cream, cream cheese, aubergine cream or would you prefer a fine, vegetarian spread made from dried tomatoes, lentils or chickpeas? We are definitely team sweet and have a few requirements: it should be vegan and please also without sweeteners and palm oil. All these ingredients can (unfortunately) be found in most conventional nut nougat creams. We knew there had to be another way.
Your homemade chocolate spread
You may already be familiar with our creamy nucao spread , but when supplies run out again – which is always very quick with us – we simply have to get more. And right away.

- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 6 tablespoons oat milk (or other plant-based milk)
- optional ½ vanilla bean

One spread – many possibilities
How you use your homemade nut nougat cream is of course up to you.
We love them on bread , rolls, croissants and rice cakes, and we also like to spoon them straight out of the glass - you know it, right? – or use the chocolate cream for tarts, cakes or to decorate biscuits.
We also have a recipe for cinnamon rolls that will definitely benefit from your homemade nucao spread. Have you ever put a chocolate topping on bananas, overnight oats or pancakes or topped your porridge with it? Fantastic, I promise! And if you're already in the spread game anyway, you can look forward to our almond butter cream next time you try it.
Have fun trying!
